Top tips for IP claims for remuneration

Part 6 of the Practice Direction – Insolvency Proceedings sets out, in rather extensive detail, a list of information and evidence to be provided on any remuneration application. But how to go about complying with it, and how best to present the plethora of material envisaged? The first part of the session will consider how to put together a robust remuneration application, drawing in particular on practical experience dealing with a multi-million pound remuneration claim in a lengthy and complex administration.  It will also cover what insolvency practitioners can do from day one and in advance of any dispute arising, key pitfalls and how to avoid them, and top tips on what to do when dealing with a difficult and contested application.

Top tips for challenges to IPs’ remuneration

Challenging IPs’ remuneration can be a thankless task particularly when the costs of any challenge, even if successful, can end up being paid by the estate. The second part of the session will consider (i) what avenues exist for challenging remuneration (ii) how best to set up a challenge (iii) when not to challenge and top tips for driving down fees without incurring high and potentially irrecoverable costs.

9.15am: Q&A

9.30am: Coffee and networking

Please note, this event is free of charge to attend. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
